How I handle your information.
Short version: I collect the minimum I need to do my job well, I keep it safe, and I'll delete it if you ask.
What I collect
When you get in touch — whether through the enquiry form or by requesting a menu — I collect your name and email address. I may also ask for a few optional details that help me understand if I'm a good fit for your household: your postcode, how many people are in your family, any dietary needs or allergies, and how you heard about me.
Why I collect it
I use this information to reply to your enquiry, send the menu PDF if you asked for it, and let you know about availability and upcoming spots. That's it. I don't send newsletters, marketing campaigns, or anything you didn't ask for.
Who sees it
Just me — Kara. I don't sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to any mailing list you didn't sign up for yourself. If you enquire and we don't end up working together, your details stay private and aren't passed on to anyone.
The tools I use
How long I keep it
I keep your information for as long as we're working together, or until you ask me to delete it. If you decide not to go ahead, or once our engagement ends and you'd like me to clear your records, I will do so within 14 days of your request.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to know what information I hold about you, to ask me to correct anything that's wrong, and to request that I delete it entirely. You don't need to give me a reason — just email me and I'll take care of it.
Questions?
If anything here isn't clear, or you'd like to exercise any of your rights, just send me a note. I'm a one-person business and I take this seriously. Email me at kara@themondaykitchen.com and I'll reply within two business days.
